I thought I’d share this short vid we shot the other day as I was finishing up a run of mugs: Lifting soft wet pots from the wheel head immediately after throwing.

As I say in the video, it’s a making step that I learned a long time ago and it has certainly saved me hours of time over the years… eliminating excess handling and shifting of pots. And, it allows for far better use of studio table and shelving space.

Give it a try… and just remember: dry hands on a tacky wall! It’s actually easier than it looks.
